PAULINA’S STYLE: When asked about my style, I always answer that I don’t have one. My blog’s readers know that in every post I would look different. My sets tend to be elegant, rock, romantic, retro, modern, casual, etc. I could go on for ever. For me, fashion gives the opportunity to be someone else every day.
INSPIRATION: I draw inspiration from everywhere: pictures I find on the internet, movies, literature, blogs, street fashion, streets, fashion shows, architecture, environment. I have never been inspiring myself directly from something. It’s a little bit like this - if you live among the culture and fashion every day, it affects the perception of reality and the ideas just come to your mind.
STYLE ICON: It’s very difficult for me to answer this question. I certainly feel great respect for Anna dello Russo and Anna Wintour, who until recently I thought to be my icons. But I don’t know whether it was because of their style (of course very different), or rather their great influence on the fashion world in general. I’m probably not looking for the icon now, but I certainly do appreciate the style of: Tavi Gevinson, Julia Frakes, Miroslava Duma and really many, many bloggers whose sites I visit every day. I am also a great fan of the Carrie Bradshaw’s eclecticism in the movie Sex and the City
WHAT ASPECT OF FASHION APPEALS TO YOU THE MOST? There are many aspects, but three areas, which I’m connected professionally with, are the closest to my heart: styling, street fashion and fashion journalism. I hope that I’d be lucky and I’ll always be able to fulfill myself in what I do.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WINTERTIME ACTIVITY? My plan of a winter day does not differ much from that at other times of the year. This means that I have very little free time, and if I find some, I spend it to carry out various projects related to fashion. Every year I try to use this period the best I can. I try to lead an active life, even in winter, so I don’t forget to exercise. My favorite winter sport is ice skating. It gives me a lot of fun. It is said that in winter we spend more time at home. In my case it does not work. The only change I notice is the fact that I drink more hot chocolate.
STAPLE ITEMS FOR WINTER: Certainly, comfortable, warm boots from natural waterproof leather. Every year, I was buying several pairs of boots and every time my feet froze in them. This season however, I decided to invest in their health and chose those that are not only aesthetically but also practical. Besides, woolen scarf, hat and gloves are essential. If they are colorful, they easily animate any stylization and certainly the grey weather that often accompanies this time of the year.
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS: As for those concerned with fashion, definitely to sort out my wardrobe, because my clothes have ceased to fit in there long time ago. As to personal life, maybe to be a little bit more cautious:). Actually, I’m not really into the idea of New Year’s resolutions …
